Eligibility Requirements:
Any skater who has participated in a Missoula Figure Skating Club Basic Skills program during the 2023-2024 season OR any skater who is a Missoula Figure Skating Club member who has not yet passed their Pre-Preliminary Moves in the Field, is eligible to participate in the Learn to  Skate Basic Skill Numbers.

Numbers:
Learn to Skate skaters should sign up for the following numbers based on the level they are currently enrolled in or the level they were in during their last class taken. For example, if a skater is signed up for Basic 3 level for Spring Session, they should sign up for the Basic 3-4  Group. If a skater is not signed up for Spring Session, they should enroll at the level of their last class taken, even if they passed that level. For example, if a skater passed Basic 1 during Winter Session 2, but is not currently enrolled for Spring, they should sign up for Basic 1-2 Group. 

Learn to Skate Basic Skills Numbers:

•     Snowplow Sam: Tomorrow from Annie the Musical
•     Basic 1-2: I Think I’m Gonna Like it Here from Annie the Musical
•     Basic 3-4: Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile from Annie the Musical
•     Basic 5-6 and Freeskate: Get Your Head in the Game from High School Musical
•     Freeskate Bridge: Do You Want to Be Evil Like Me from Descendants
  
•     Adult Number: Alexander Hamilton from Hamilton the Musical

You will be able to sign up for these individual performance numbers on DaySmart starting March 1st!

Rehearsal Dates & Times*
Saturdays: 3/30, 4/13, 4/27
Time: Rehearsals will be 30 minutes long, either from 10:15-10:45 am, 10:45-11:15 am or 11:15-11:45 am.
Showcase on Ice: 5/4 at 6:30 pm

*Skaters may not miss more than one rehearsal. Please see your coach if you must miss a rehearsal or if you have any questions or concerns about this.
 
Photo Day  – April 13th – Show Photos 10:15-11:45am
 
Dress Rehearsal – Sunday, 4/28, 2:45-4:30pm – please bring all costumes to the rink to perform in
 
Show Day Schedule – Saturday, May 4th UPDATED

• 3:00-3:15pm High and Low Dances

• 4:10-4:30pm Adult Numbers
• 4:30-5:00pm Opening
• 5:00-5:30pm Closing

Any costume items purchased for the skater you will be able to keep.  You will be asked to note the child's size when registering. Here are some charts to help you choose sizes.

Costume fees are non-refundable. You may request a partial refund for your Performance Fee(s) up to and including the first practice. There are no refunds after the first practice for your group number(s). All refunds will reflect the following deductions:          

• MFSC Administrative Fee - $15
• Cost for one practice (if applicable) - $15

* If a skater is unable to complete the Showcase on Ice practices and/or performance due to injury, the skater may submit a written request to the Show Director to make an exception to the above refund policy. To be considered, all refund requests must be received within 10 days of the Show for which you are requesting a refund. Send all refund requests to: Show Director, [email protected]
