Join us at Glacier Ice Rink on the Missoula County Fairgrounds and Learn to Skate! Missoula Figure Skating Club (MFSC) runs the Learn to Skate USA program developed by US Figure Skating, USA Hockey and US Speed Skating. The Program offers beginning skating, figure, adult and other specialty classes for ages 4 through adult. Classes offered include basic skills and free skate. Learn to Skate USA membership is required to participate in these classes.
Skate School (club members only)
Fall Only
Our Skating School-Bridge Program takes place Sunday afternoons. Skating School is designed to teach skating skills at a faster pace in a group lesson environment and to introduce the benefits of club membership. Skating School introduces Learn to Skate skaters to club skaters and coaches and fosters strong relationships between various ages and abilities. Classes cover a variety of skating elements and disciplines, such as warm-up, power, edges, jumps, spins, ice-dancing, pair skating, choreography, synchronized skating, tricks and more. Skating School is only available to MFSC members.

Power Skating (Club members only)

The MFSC Power Skating Class is intended to help skaters realize the full power and stamina they can obtain
through proper use of edges and conditioning. Skaters will spend an intense 1⁄2 hour training to improve their
performance, whether their goal is gain further skills, passing tests or competing. This Power Skating Class will be
a concentrated workout and will provide skaters with an understanding of the importance of proper edge use,
strength and stamina as fundamental tools for putting together an effective skating performance. Class is open to youth who have passed Learn to Skate Basic 3 and adults who have passed Adult Basic 2.

Rising Stars is a comprehensive program designed for skaters who want to maximize their skating potential. This program is a natural next step for the skater who aspires to join the Missoula figure skating.
Rising Stars will focus on building strong skating skills and habits that will aid students as they progress through US Figure Skating levels.
